Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive at the Pekoa Airport (SON), on the southern part of the island of Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu. Your guides will be awaiting your arrival. From the airport we will drive to the north eastern part of the island to the charming town of Port Orly where our kayaks and beachfront accommodations await. We will spend the afternoon paddling around the white sand beaches and tropical islands surrounding Port Orly. Dinner and welcome celebration will cap off your first day in this South Pacific paradise. D
Day 2: We say goodbye to the beaches of Port Orly and paddle south to explore the beautiful protected beaches of Lonnoc and Champagne. We build in time to snorkel the reefs off these beaches. We will spend the night on these beaches ready to paddle the following day. B, D
Day 3: Today we start the voyage to Turtle Bay. This section of the trip will be broken up into two parts filled with beautiful tropical coastline on our right and the very distant islands of Maewo and Ambae to our left. After our longest paddling day, about 14 miles of spectacular kayaking, we will arrive in Shark Bay where we will leave the kayaks and return to our previous accommodations to recharge. B, D
Day 4: We awake ready to continue our journey from Shark Bay to to the protected blue waters of Turtle Bay. Along the way we will navigate the channels created by the islands of Lataro and Lataroa. Lataro is famous for its old growth forest and pristine coral reefs that surround the island. This island is also an ideal habitat for the largest terrestrial crab in the world, the Coconut Crab. Day 5: Your layover day is planned in the Turtle Bay estuary home to the largest concentration of freshwater blue holes in the world. Here, we have the options to paddle upstream into several amazing blue holes in one day. In the morning we cross the bay and paddle up a winding crystal blue river to reach Matevulu Blue Hole. We then continue out of the river and down the bay up another spectacular river to see Riri Blue Hole. These attractions are world famous and are not to be missed. They are also ideal places for swimming and taking in the unique tropical scenery of Espiritu Santo. B
Day 6: Today we will continue south along the coast meandering our way through the protected island chain south of Turtle Bay. We will continue paddling until we reach our next accommodations surrounded by wonderful tropical water and pristine white sand beaches. B, D
Day 7: We wake up and wrap around the southern part of the island for our final day, around 12 miles of kayaking. We plan to stop at historic Million Dollar Point. This place is home to a man made reef where one can snorkel among World War II relics ranging from old jeeps to tanks and much more. The island of Aore is our final destination where we spend our final night together in this tropical paradise. B, D
Day 8: On our final day we have the option to kayak two miles to the the larger island of Espiritu Santo where transportation to Pekoa Airport awaits. B

Clothing & Equipment:
These are all the personal items you will need - anything else is unnecessary baggage and will only be extra weight to carry.
- 3-7 t-shirts, some synthetic for paddling
- 1 shirt, long sleeved
- 2-3 pair shorts (some quick drying)
- Sun/rain hat
- Sneakers/cross trainers hiking; some prefer hiking in Tevas or other sandals with socks
- Rain gear just in case! (Paddling jacket works well as an alternative, or windbreaker jacket)
- 1 pair sport sandals; Tevas, water socks, etc. (Paddling booties are great!)
- Bathing suit(s)
- Underwear, socks
- Casual clothes for evenings (shorts/summer dresses are fine!)
- Clean change of clothing for the trip home
Miscellaneous

- Passport (be sure to check expiration date)
- Toiletry kit- toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, sunscreen, face cream, nail clippers, moleskin, baby powder, soap, washcloth (most hotels don’t provide them) etc.
- Personal medication kit- ibuprofen, aspirin, vitamins, band-aids, Dramamine®, cold/sinus meds if prone to colds
- Daypack/fanny pack for hiking options
- Collapsible walking stick for optional hikes
- Sunglasses Chums/Croakies® to keep glasses on your head are imperative
- Water bottle (optional- bottled water is plentiful and cheap)
- Small dry bag with carabiner clip (clear ones are very useful)
- Headlamp for sea caves
- Camera, waterproof container
- Paddling gloves (for the tender of palm- not neoprene but any open fingered glove can help e.g. biking gloves etc)
- Small towel (e.g. PackTowel® works well)
- Small travel alarm clock
